The Club at Prescott Lakes

The Challenge

In the midst of the Great Recession, The Club at Prescott Lakes faced a turning point. Membership was falling, operations were in the red, the pro shop and grill room operated out of temporary trailers, and the golf carts were housed in a tent.

Confidence was eroding. Members feared not just the loss of their club, but the erosion of the community spirit that brought them to Prescott Lakes in the first place. Homeowners worried about property values – and about losing the social and recreational hub that connected neighbors, friends and families.

The community needed a solution that involved more than just management. They needed a partnership-driven organization built on experience, integrity and a belief that financially healthy clubs build stronger communities; a partner who could bring stability, strategy, and stewardship, to restore confidence and community support.

The Century Solution

The Club at Prescott LakesIn 2009, Century Golf Partners structured a joint-venture partnership with the Prescott Lakes Community association (HOA), bringing in its Arnold Palmer Golf Management team to lead a successful turnaround.

The mission: purchase the club from the owner, rebuild confidence in the community, reshape operations, and reimagine the club experience – not just for golfers, but for every resident who called Prescott Lakes home.

Century Golf’s approach blended financial discipline with a human touch – listening to Members in town hall meetings, building relationships, and positioning the club as the beating heart of the community.

Through thoughtful restructuring of club fees and dues, enhanced programming, and a renewed focus on creating a community club, Century Golf led the club to solid financial footing, helped restore confidence and created a model of shared success.

The Results

  • Wait List To Belong: Membership grew by over 300 golf members, reaching full capacity
  • Built New Clubhouse and Expanded Facilities: The long-awaited permanent clubhouse was built in 2011, pickleball courts were added, a new yoga studio expansion was constructed at the Athletic Center, and Bocce Courts were completed.
  • Golf Course Improvements: Renovated bunkers on all 18-holes, rebuilt bridges, installed erosion control, and elevated both course conditions for improved playability and member satisfaction.

Together, these achievements positioned The Club at Prescott Lakes for long-term success, financial sustainability, and enduring member pride.

The Legacy

Today, The Club at Prescott Lakes continues to thrive, with a waitlist for membership – full membership, waitlisted demand, and, most importantly, a renewed sense of identity. The club remains a place where neighbors connect, families celebrate, and pride in community runs deep.
