Walt Disney World Golf’s Magnolia Golf Course just gave golfers another reason to look forward to the back nine. A brand-new Grumpy statue now stands guard at the entrance to Grumpy’s Gauntlet, the four-hole stretch (holes 14–17) that has quickly earned a reputation as one of the most demanding finishes in Central Florida.
The roughly six-foot Carrara marble statue was crafted by Walt Disney Imagineering using an AI-powered stone-carving robot, depicting Grumpy in full scowl atop a rocky perch, right beside the 14th tee box. His golf bag carries a seven-iron in honor of all seven dwarfs, alongside a replicated golf ball featuring the original 1937 dimple pattern commemorating the year Snow White was released.
Grumpy’s Gauntlet features massive waste bunkers, tricky doglegs, and highly undulating greens — so the warning is well-earned. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just looking for a uniquely Disney photo op before you take on the challenge, Grumpy is ready to receive you.
